Local Data Destruction Company with Deep Community Roots
AccuShred is proud to be part of the Northwest Ohio community. As a data destruction company, we take pride in helping our community understand the importance of data protection, and we make an effort to be a visible presence in the community. We have deep roots in the Northwest Ohio community and consider service to the community a vital part of our mission.
AccuShred Continues “Shred Cancer” Program
Breast cancer has impacted many families in the community, and we have become part of the response to raise awareness and money to fight breast cancer alongside the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation. We have secure Pink Shred Bins available for local clients to hold their sensitive information to be destroyed, and to make a donation for each pink bin that AccuShred services. AccuShred will then match the customer’s contribution, with 100% of the money going to Susan G. Komen for the Cure-Northwest Ohio Affiliate. We were the first information destruction company to utilize the Pink Shred Bins, and our Shred Cancer program is unique in this industry. Customers have had an overwhelmingly positive response to the initiative. In addition to the donations, use of the pink bins helps promote awareness of the campaigns. In addition to our own “Shred Cancer” program, we have participated in the local Race for the Cure events as well as other breast cancer awareness events in the community.
AccuShred Donations to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Continue to Grow
In the first two years, we were able to raise over $35,000. In the next year, that number grew to $50,000. Over the next several years, the number grew to $100,000, and now the total is staggering. Since the inception of the Shred Cancer program in 2011, AccuShred has donated over $150,000 to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure-Northwest Ohio affiliate. The success of the program thus far is a testament to how local companies can make a significant impact in the community. Our clients are dedicated to supporting their community as well and showing how a community partnership can take these initiatives from inception to success. These research dollars raised by Shred Cancer have funded grants, clinical trials, research advocates, partnerships and collaborations, and scientific conferences. It can take well over fifteen years and $5 billion to take a drug through development, and Komen helps fund this research and development that will advance the field and have a real-life impact on patients. Some of the money we raise stays in this community to help fund screenings for people who wouldn’t otherwise have access to this level of care. It’s something we are very proud of.
We understand the importance of forming roots in the community-this is our home. AccuShred clients who participate in the Shred Cancer program and utilize the pink bins know that their donations will directly benefit members of the community who are fighting breast cancer. We are proud to be a part of the Northwest Ohio community and strive to create lasting connections with the people we serve.
